We want you to thoroughly enjoy your experience. Please be sure to communicate your preferences to your therapist – the amount of pressure, room temperature, whether you want conversation or silence. If you don’t tell your therapist, they won’t know if you’re uncomfortable. This is your time! Let us know what you need.
Please let your therapist or staff member know immediately if you are uncomfortable for any reason. Our goal is for your experience to be positive, and corrections can only be made if we are made aware of a problem at the time of service.
No cell phone calls please! Because the environment should be a tranquil and stress-reducing experience, we request that cell phones and pagers are turned off or put on silent before entering the facility. Remember that the intention of your visit – as well as others – is to relax!
We suggest you wear casual attire-something you can easily slip off and on without fussing. If modesty is an issue please tell us. We have massage clothing you can wear and treatments that can be done while you’re clothed. We provide any necessary towels for you to wear during your visit.
The best way to receive a massage or other bodywork is to be unclothed, however we never require you to be naked if it makes you uncomfortable. Our therapists are trained in the “art of draping”. They will leave the treatment room while you get under the sheet on the table, keep you covered at all times except for the area of the body they are working on, and will leave the treatment room before you get up from the table.
We recommend leaving all jewelry at home. Otherwise, remove neck and wrist ornaments; we prefer that you wear your rings. You are responsible for your valuables! Please be mindful of not leaving valuables behind – frantic searches in robe pockets or nooks and crannies in the treatment room are stress producing for all involved – not what you need after a relaxing treatment!
We try to block outside interference with music, fountains and sound-absorbent walls, but loud voices and noises do filter through. We ask that you please be mindful of others enjoying their treatments, who are truly appreciating all the peace and quiet that’s possible, and try to keep conversations at a low volume.
Please do not bring food or drink to the facility. It’s best not to receive bodywork on a full stomach, so schedule meals or snacks to allow at least an hour before your treatment. Since bodywork introduces clean, oxygenated and nourished fluids into your tissues and stimulates your body to purge toxins, it is important to flush them out by drinking plenty of water. Be aware of what you’re putting into your nice clean body after your treatments, especially refined sugars, high fats, caffeine and most importantly, alcohol – any of these may have a stronger effect on you than normal. Toxins that are not flushed from your body can be reabsorbed and may give you a “toxin hangover”. If this happens, drink more water!
We love children; we even have some of our own! However, the ambiance within the facility must remain as relaxing as possible for all of our guests (many of whom are actually enjoying a respite from their little people). We request you do not bring children unless they are receiving services. Children under 18 must have the written consent from parent or guardian to receive treatments.
We love to show off our place! If you would like to take a tour, please be aware that not all rooms will be open to view and some guests may be transitioning from one treatment to the next. Please allow the staff member to determine the best route for your tour.
Call, Text or Book online
A credit card is required to book and reserve your service.
Our peak hours are evenings and weekends so call in well in advance. If you are flexible and can make a mid-week appointment we are more likely to be able to accommodate you on shorter notice.
If you have a preference for a therapist, let us know. Your choice of service may require a particular therapist or service provider and we will discuss these details when booking your appointment.
Please arrive at least 10min early for your appointment so that you get your full time. Each new guest completes a health history form, which takes about ten minutes, rest room stops and client/therapist interviews account for a few more minutes. If you arrive too late your session will be shortened to end on time.
When your treatments are completed you will check out at the reception desk with your therapist or technician. You may pay with cash or credit card with a preferred fee and gift cards.
Gratuities are not included in our prices but are gladly accepted. Calculate the amount of your tip as you would in a restaurant – between 15-25% of services full value not discounted price, but you may of course leave more or less, depending on the quality of the service. Gratuities for your therapist or technician may be left at the front desk and can also be added to your credit card bill.
We ask at least 24 hours notice if your plans change and you need to re-schedule. We have voicemail if you need to call after regular hours or text. Same Day Cancellations – even if rebooked – will be charged 1/2 price of the services.
Industry protocol dictates that Therapists are paid even if their client cancels. No-shows are a huge frustration in the Spa industry and we will will charge 100% of the appointment fee for no-shows.
Your session will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music may be played to help you relax. You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort.
You will be given a robe to wear while you are visiting us for your Facial or Waxing services. For facial and waxing services you will only disrobe the areas of the body being treated. For massage you will undress fully or to your comfort level and will be draped with a sheet and blanket. Lash extensions you will not need to change clothing.
Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client fully unclothed; however, it is entirely up to you what you want to wear. You should undress to your level of comfort.
You will be properly draped with a sheet and blanket at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed.
The therapist will leave the room while you undress, relax onto the table, and cover yourself with a clean sheet or towel. They will knock before re entering to make sure you are ready and on the table.
You and the practitioner will discuss the desired outcome of your session. This will determine which parts of your body require massage. A typical full body session will include work on your back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck, and shoulders. You will not be touched on or near your genitals (male or female) or breasts (female).
Massage and bodywork can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscular tissue, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Massage and bodywork is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being.
Yes. That’s why it’s imperative that, before you begin your session, the therapist asks general health questions. It is very important that you inform the therapist of any health problems or medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor’s care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage or bodywork prior to any session. Your therapist may require a recommendation or approval from your doctor.
